When our agency friends told us they had a project that would really turn us on, we didn’t realize they were talking about light switches. The concept was charming, but we knew from experience that it would be delicate work to find the balance between smarmy and silly.
So we auditioned a host of improvisational actors before landing on our goofy-sweet couple. Perhaps that’s a bit neurotic, but if you’ve ever witnessed ad-humor fall flat you know it doesn’t take much. For Legrand, it resulted in their most successful campaign to date.
